Horizon Studios hosted their annual Easter HAF sessions, featuring a blend of DJing, music production, and activities inspired by nature.

Horizon Studios proudly partnered with TNT Records and oh my days to host their inaugural pop-up event, providing a platform for burgeoning local artists to showcase their talents. 

Horizon Studios delivered sessions for Brathay Trusts Elevate programme. Young people learned how to DJ, produce music and expand their musical knowledge. 

In partnership with Greengate Junior School, Horizon Studios was invited to deliver the "Journey Through Sound" music workshops with years 3-6.

In a collaborative effort across Goodly Dale Primary, Windermere School, and Lakes School, thermal runaway took centre stage. Firefighters conducted talks on thermal runaway, followed by Horizon Studios hosting lyric writing workshops.The culmination resulted in a unique song created by students to spread awareness about the dangers of thermal runaway. 

Horizon Studios began their first group session of the HIVE programme for over 18's, allowing like-minded artists to collaborate and socialize. 

Horizon Studios re-launched their HIVE programme, inviting young people into a studio setting to develop their knowledge and expand their skills.

Horizon Studios ran another round of the Holidays, Activities and Food programme promoting healthy eating and an introduction to the studio environment. 

Horizon visited Furness Academy to deliver their Journey Through Sound Workshop.

Horizon Staff and Stars helped celebrate the anual light switch on in Barrow with performances of their latest tracks and covers.

Horizon Studios visited Sir John Barrow School to deliver their Journey Through Sound workshop, The young people recorded their own sounds into Ableton to make their own beat. 

Horizon Studios teamed up with John Ruskin School and ACT to put together a creative response to the Lake District National Park's managment plan.

Horizon Studios won awards for New Social Enterprise Of The Year and Countywide Community Social Enterprise Of The Year.

Horizon Studios visited Muncaster Castle with the Horizon Stars to perform for the Halloween Spectacular event.

Horizon Studios took the Horizon Stars on an immersive visit to King Sound Studios to gain insight into the workings of a professional studio. 

Horizon Studios delivered the Holidays, Activities and food programme where young people created animations, wrote their own lyrics and developed social skills in a musical environment.

Horizon Studios started another round of their well received DJ Club, supporting young DJs' on their journey. Supported by Hadfield Trust.

Horizon Studios helped BarrowFull with their Youth Theatre For/With/By Festival. Horizon hosted DJ and music production workshops. 

Horizon Staff and Stars performed at the Unity Festival celebrating togetherness and equality. A great day for all. 

Maz O'Connor came to Horizon Studios to deliver a songwriting workshop to the Horizon Stars. In this session they developed their songwriting skills by brainstorming ideas around a sentimental object.

Horizon Studios hosted this years Spellbinding book awards, in conjunction with Cumbria library Service. This saw over 100 students come together to celebrate their love for literature. 

Horizon Studios went to Walney School to give a careers talk on their journey into the music industry. 

Horizon Studios visited Barrow Island Primary to deliver their Journey Through Sound Workshop showing students how to create audio samples and then arrange them into a beat.

Horizon Studios took to the road to Scotland for their first Writers Camp, spending 4 days creating music and honing their skills.

Horizon Studios partnered with Full of Noises to deliver their new project idea NatureSound. This project entailed using natural resources

Horizon delivered a creative writing workshop involving a group of exchange students at Furness Academy.

During their time in India, part of the Horizon team visited Future Hope School where they delivered a music production workshop to their students.After the session, students had their turn sharing their favourite songs and dance moves.

Horizon began their new initiative HIVE (Helping Inspire Vibrant Environments). Supported by 1up & Cumbria County Council. Providing young people with a creative environment to learn, create and socialise through music collaboration.

In partnership with CandoFM, Horiozn Studios began working with their 4th group of young music producers here in Barrow. We're looking forward to seeing what they create throughout the sessions!

Horizon Studios celebrated Project John's 25th Birthday with a Raft Build Challenge.

Horizon Studios was nominated and awarded finalist of "Community Focused Business of The Year". The awards ceremony will be in April 2023. Good luck to all finalists!

Horizon Studios and the "Horizon Stars" performed in a showcase in New Look as a part of Barrow Music Week

In partnership with Richard Rose Morton Academy, Horizon Studios were invited to the school to deliver the "Journey Through Sound" music workshops for key stage 3 students.

Supported by BarrowFull, Horizon Studios hosted a number of guitar lessons with a local guitar teacher. Offering opportunity for young people to learn and music leaders to develop their craft.

Horizon Studios spent the week in Cockermouth, working with Kirkgate Arts Centre to deliver a Music Production & DJ'ing course with young people local to the area. This week was finished with a celebration event chowcasing what the participants had learnt, and created.

In partnership with RV Projects, Horizon Studios held 16 days over the summer holidays providing Holiday Activities & Food for local school students. 

In partnership with FESP, Horizon Studios supported the Year 4 Future Careers project. This saw students attend their dream job placement to experience what it was like to work in those businesses.

In partnership with Hello Future, Horizon Studios hosted a week long music production course for young people moving into further education or employment. This week was finished with a visit to Spirit Studios in Manchster.

Horizon Studios attended Sacred Heart Primary school to deliver the "Journey Through Sound" music workshops with years 5 & 6.

Over the summer holidays a partnership was developed to provide activities in the town centre for young people. We provided DJ workshops with supporting organisations and had a great time!

In partnership with Public Health England, Horizon Studios was commissioned to workshop with young people to find out how young people can be informed about vaccinations against disease. This led to a short piece of music & video being created including relevant information.

In partnership with Furness Multi-Cultural Forum, Horizon Studios provided music production workshops throughout the day at Unity Fest 2022 - Hosted at The Forum, Barrow.

In partnership with Brathay Trust, Horizon Studios hosted the second installment of the "Elevate" programme. During this day we showcased the organisation, workshops, history & future plans.

This year we were asked to host 2022's Spellbinding awards at the Reghed Centre, near Penrith. We got to speak with some of the Authors who were shortlisted & ran our own 'rap' workshop.

In partnership with Dropzone & their True Colours Youth Club, Horizon Studios & the "Horizon Stars" performed at this years Pride event - hosted at the Forum, Barrow.

In partnership with CandoFM, Horiozn Studios began working with their 3rd group of young music producers here in Barrow. We're looking forward to seeing them develop over the next 12 weeks!

In partnership with the Centre For Leadership, Horizon Studios worked with South Walney Junior School to help support their enterprise idea. We hosted idea sessions and interviews to select job roles within the enterprise. Well done to the school & students!

Horizon Studios were invited to join Furness Multi-Cultural Forum  to celebrate EID this year. We took this opportunity to learn more about Islam and connect with our community further.

Having been invited to CSEP's award ceremony in Carlisle, we were over the moon to have been awarded 1st place in the "New Social Enterprise Of The Year" category. Congratulations to Rebuild CIC for reaching the finals with us. Thank you!

In partnership with CandoFM, Horizon Studios started working with the second group of music production students. After a great start with our first group we're eager to see how this group get on over the 12 weeks.

In partnerhsip with Barrow AFC Community Sports, Horizon Studios were invited to deliver the "3E's" programme with students at Ormgills Primary & Cambridge CofE school.

A project in collaboration with FMCF and their young people. Our in house artists are working to create a piece of music all about Unity and equal opportunity.

In partnership with Trinity School, in Carlisle, we have been able to launch an afterschool music production club. After word got around the school of the music production sessions being provided during school we met the student demand by opening a drop in session for young people to come and create music after school.

Invited by the Forum, Horizon Studios joined a number of other local organisations to showcase our workshops for our community.

In partnership with Chetwynde School, Horizon Studios was invited to deliver music production session with keystage 3 & 4.

In partnership with Trinity School, Horizon Studios was invited to Cumbria's biggest school to begin an ongoing music production course with students in years 8, 9 & 10.

In partnership with CandoFM, funded by Youth Music, Horizon Studios began their first music production course with young people of Barrow and the Furness area.

Horizon Studios hosted a workshlop in Fleetwood working with Artist in Residence - Henry Iddon, Wyre Council & young people to create some music, lyrics, spoken word & visuals to represent the feelings of Fleetwood.
